Sanctuary of Santa Cristina

LOCATION: 18 km.

The archaeological area of Santa Cristina consists of a sanctuary, a nuraghe and a village of huts. The sanctuary takes its name from the nearby rural church of Santa Cristina. The most important building of the sanctuary is the marvellous well temple built around the 10th century BC. It represents the culmination of sacred Nuragic architecture. The sanctuary appears exceptionally evolved compared to the architecture of other sacred wells.
