POSITION: from Cabras to San Salvatore
DESCRIPTION: This manifestation goes back to 1619, when because of the innumerable barbaric invasions, Cabras’s citizens had to save a saint simulacrum across the counties.
In order to celebrate this event, every first Saturday of September, San Salvatore‘s simulacrum is carried by the barefoot from S.M.Assunta Church of Cabras to the Church’s village called San Salvatore (infact the name of the village derives from this Church ).
The following day, in the sunset, the barefoot (called in the local language “Is Corridoris”) carry back the similacrum to Cabras’s Church.
They wear a white tunic and run for 7 km.
